Japan plans to spend more than $112 billion to combat inflation

According to Reuters, the Japanese government is considering a package of measures to spend more than 17 trillion yen ($112 billion) to slow the impact of inflation on the economy. According to the draft plan, the government will prepare an additional budget of approximately 13.1 trillion yen to fund part of the expenditure. According to an earlier report by the Asahi Shimbun, the size of the package of measures may be as high as 17 trillion yen.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said last week that the government plans to formulate the package on November 2, which will include temporary reductions in income and residential taxes, as well as subsidy measures to curb gasoline and utility costs.bottom of form
