The latest research by the Electrolux Group on laundry habits shows that Europe is moving to 30° washing, which reduces CO2 emissions. The results of the longest and largest study of its kind on laundry behaviour across Europe show that behaviour that has been formed over time is rapidly changing to the benefit of the environment as consumers seek to save on energy costs. Research shows that since 2020, 35 million European households have started using a washing temperature of 30°C; More than 14 million of them have been replaced in the last 12 months. Temperatures rising to 30°C could reduce CO2 equivalent by more than 952,000 tonnes.

In addition, 44 %的家庭现在主要在30°C或以下的温度下洗衣服,而三年前这一比例为35%. If this trend continues, by 2025, most of Europe will be in a 30°C laundry zone, while 86% of households have tried to reduce their energy use in the last 12 months, and more than half (56%) have specifically changed their laundry practices.
