Chinese smartphone maker Vivo and Volkswagen Group software company CARIAD announced a partnership to jointly develop smart car connectivity solutions.
The two parties established a joint laboratory in China called the Mobile Seamless connectivity for mobile apps.
The goal of this cooperation is to create a smoother digital mobile experience for consumers. Users can remotely control vehicles, access vehicle data and services, and enjoy a more convenient and personalized driving experience. In addition, the cooperation also aims to enhance Volkswagen CARIAD’s independent research and development capabilities in the field of intelligent connectivity and better integrate innovation results into China’s local digital ecosystem.
