On November 8, market researchers from the German Technical Trade Association (BVT) and GfK said at the annual economic press conference in Cologne that sales of consumer electronics products fell by 8% from January to August compared with the same period last year.

However, OLED TVs are an exception in the TV field. Andreas Peplinski, technical consumer goods expert at GfK, said OLED technology is still growing at 8%, bucking the overall trend in the TV market. Overall, TV sales fell 10%. The audio market, on the other hand, is steady at just over 1%. This development was driven by the growth of Bluetooth headsets, which grew by 30%.
