Hisense won a CES Innovation Award for three new products, including an augmented reality head-up display (AR HUD) system designed for automotive applications. AR HUD technology uses proprietary holographic projection and is Hisense’s first major move into the field of automotive display.

It uses laser projection and holography to create an immersive visual environment inside the car. The system overlays navigation prompts, vehicle data, safety alerts and entertainment content onto the windshield in high resolution.

Hisense says the AR HUD is designed to fit into a compact space within the dashboard, but still allows for a big-screen experience with a small hidden projector. With its wide viewing angle and high brightness, it turns the windshield into an information center.

AR HUD reflects Hisense’s efforts to expand from the TV and home appliance fields to the automotive field. Hisense 110UX TV and smart built-in dishwasher also won CES awards.
