Germany, France and Italy have recently discussed enacting laws regulating the use of artificial intelligence technology. It also agreed to make binding voluntary commitments to AI providers in the EU. This will urge the European Commission to immediately negotiate to speed up the regulation of artificial intelligence service providers.

The agreement document reached by the three countries proposes to establish a European agency to oversee EU artificial intelligence regulatory standards and focus on constraints on all providers.

The EU Parliament itself has proposed a draft law on artificial intelligence. The bill aims to avoid security risks caused by artificial intelligence applications and avoid discriminatory effects. On the other hand, the EU Parliament does not want artificial intelligence regulations to hinder this new technological innovation in Europe.
