According to a new report from SuperScale, the majority (83%) of new mobile games balloon into obscurity within three years, while 43% are abandoned mid-development.

The report, overseen by Atomik Research, includes findings from 500 games developers in the UK and US

The findings revealed that 76% of released games peaked and generated the most revenue in their first year, with only 4% achieving first-year profits in their second year.

Over 50% of developers were also found to use real-time actions in their games, while 38% do not release recurring content or updates, and only 5% of games are supported seven years after release.
