India and EU strengthen semiconductor cooperation

On November 24, India and the European Union signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on semiconductors to establish a strong supply chain. The MoU was signed by Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Electronics, Information Technology and Communications, and Thierry Breton, EU Commissioner for the Internal Market.
The MoU aims to increase the resilience of semiconductor value chains in India and the EU and covers cooperation in a wide range of areas including research and innovation, talent development, partnerships and exchange of market information.

According to an MEA statement, the MoU symbolizes the strong commitment between India and the EU to build a strong semiconductor supply chain and innovate together.
