East Zone concessionaire Manila Water has signed a 15-year solar power purchase agreement with Ditrolic Energy Philippines for 2.5 MW peak solar projects at three facilities.

The deal, which includes the construction and management of three solar facilities, integrates renewable energy with the company’s current energy mix and is expected to significantly reduce peak daytime demand from traditional electricity suppliers. This is part of Manila Water’s commitment to achieve an environmentally sustainable and resilient future.

Ditrolic Energy will install solar facilities at three water stations to provide clean energy to Manila Water.
