Perodua plans to increase electric vehicle sales by 20% by 2030

Perodua plans to make electric and hybrid vehicles account for 20% of new car sales by 2030. CEO Zainal said that achieving this goal is possible through industrial cooperation. Perodua has currently been designated as a pioneer in the development of electric vehicles in Malaysia.

Perodua is committed to launching new products to meet the 20% target set by the government by 2025 or 2030. The CEO emphasized that the electric vehicle ecosystem requires huge investment and called on other companies to participate in supporting the government’s goal of building 10,000 charging stations across the country.

The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry also stated that the government aims to have electric and hybrid vehicles account for 20% of new car sales by 2030.

Perodua and Tourism Malaysia signed a three-year cooperation memorandum to promote the sustainable development of Malaysia’s tourism industry.
