Daikin Air Conditioning India invests 10 billion rupees to increase production capacity

Daikin Air Conditioning India Pvt Ltd said with the commercialization of its third plant, the company will accelerate the supply of made-in-India products to the domestic and international markets. The company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Japan’s Daikin Industries Ltd, said its third integrated manufacturing plant for air conditioners and compressors has been set up in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh with an investment of Rs 1,000 crore. The new facility, spread over 75.5 acres, is part of the PLI initiative and will help the company harness India’s manufacturing potential to produce for the world.

Daikin Air Conditioning India said Daikin has around 100 manufacturing units globally and has a customer base in over 170 countries. The new facility is dedicated to developing climate-friendly air conditioning solutions for the West African, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Middle East, South America and East African markets.
