The Philippines and South Korea are collaborating to develop a digital platform to help exporters take advantage of the free trade agreement between the two countries, which will benefit Philippine agricultural products worth 170 million pesos annually.

Launched by the Ministry of Trade and Industry in partnership with the Korea Technology Agency, the digital platform aims to optimize the use of free trade agreements and provide an origin management system to enable exporters to determine whether their products comply with their respective rules of origin.

Trade Undersecretary Ceferino Rudolph said that the project is a key tool for the Philippines to optimize free trade agreements with South Korea and other countries, and hopes to improve the efficiency of the utilization of free trade agreements through digital services.
