TPV prepares to launch new smart TV operating system

Consumer electronics maker TPV Technology plans to launch smart TV operating system Titan OS at the MWC technology trade show next month.

TPV is the company partnering with Philips, but plans to license Titan OS to other TV brands. The operating system will come pre-installed with the Joyn streaming app, and select Philips TV models shipping in 2024 with Titan OS will have a dedicated button on the remote control to launch the Joyn app.

By establishing an independent Titan OS company entity, TPV Technology is expected to compete with Google, Amazon, Roku, etc. in the global smart TV platform market. More details will be disclosed at the MWC press conference.
