YTL partners with Nvidia to develop artificial intelligence and supercomputers

YTL Power International has announced a partnership with Nvidia to build artificial intelligence infrastructure in Malaysia that will bring the fastest supercomputers to the country by mid-2024.

The collaboration will leverage Nvidia H100 Tensor Core GPUs to provide advanced AI data center power and Nvidia AI Enterprise software to simplify production AI. The cooperation plan was announced by NVIDIA founder Huang Jensen and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, emphasizing that this strategic cooperation is in line with the country’s 2030 new industrial master plan and will promote Malaysia to become a high-tech and high-income country.

The AI infrastructure will be located at the YTL Data Center in Kulai, Johor, owned and managed by YTL Communications.
