The Indonesian Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) actively promotes technology startup development programs and provides financing opportunities to dozens of startups.

The Startup4Industry program started in 2018 with 2,036 start-ups participating, of which 1,136 participated in the technology competition.

The Ministry of Industry said the plan is part of the government’s strategy to build an ecosystem of technology solutions. The sustainable development of start-ups requires financial support, and the government is committed to attracting investment to promote Indonesia’s economic growth.

Reni Yanita, director of the Department of Small and Medium Enterprises and Miscellaneous Industries at the Ministry of Industry, said he hopes start-ups will emphasize the economic value and sustainable development strategies of their businesses, and venture capital will provide them with funding and confidence.
