Tesla released a video showing the improvements to its humanoid robot prototype Optimus Prime after it lost 10 kilograms in weight. The robot uses a trained neural network to perform basic tasks, deftly picking up eggs in its latest demonstration, and has all the tactile sensations of its fingers. Tesla said the goal of the robot is to replace humans in performing dangerous or monotonous tasks.

The video also shows Optimus Prime walking around the Tesla factory, interacting with the Cybertruck, and doing squats in the gym. Optimus Prime is part of Tesla’s effort to develop artificial intelligence, and the latest demonstration shows it is constantly evolving to make work more efficient.
