TCL has achieved growth in TV market share this year and plans to launch a new generation of RGB OLED TVs next year to enter the OLED market.

TCL is one of the few TV companies to achieve growth this year, with its share increasing by more than 16% compared with Samsung, Sony and LG. The company hopes to compete with Korean rivals in the small and large OLED markets. Through the advanced T8 production line, TCL enters the OLED TV panel field and produces 55-, 65- and 75-inch OLED panels.

The company also plans to launch 42-inch and 98-inch OLED TVs using inkjet printing technology to improve production efficiency and reduce costs. Observers say TCL OLED panels may cost one-third less than those of LG Electronics.

In addition, TCL plans to launch RGB OLED to compete with LG Display’s WOLED and Samsung Display’s QD-OLED. RGB OLED has higher brightness, color coverage and energy efficiency.
