Canada plans to announce this week that all new cars will be zero-emission by 2035, becoming a new model for the world to drive electrification.
Sources called the new regulations a standard for the availability of electric vehicles, which aims to ensure market supply and shorten the waiting time for electric vehicles. Zero-emission models will account for 20% of new vehicle sales in 2026, %,2030年达60% and 100% by 2035. Similar targets already exist in British Columbia and Quebec.
The move boosts the global EV market share, which the International Energy Agency estimates could reach %-45% by the end of 2030.
The U.S. House of Representatives voted to block the Biden administration’s proposed strengthening of vehicle emissions regulations.
