The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Tesla will recall more than 2 million vehicles in the U.S. and Canada, covering the entire product portfolio.

This recall is due to the possibility that autonomous driving software may increase the risk of collisions. Risks can arise if a driver abuses driver assistance programs or fails to identify system failures. Tesla said it would solve the problem with an over-the-air software update, emphasizing that drivers must be fully attentive when using the autopilot.

The recall may reduce collisions, but it also raises questions about autonomous driving technology. Analysts believe that this operation will have little impact on the company.
