ACEN wind power project receives green channel approval

The Philippine Board of Investment (BoI) has granted green channel processing rights to ACEN Corp.’s 335 MW Isla wind project. The decision is aimed at speeding up the process for the new landmark wind project.

The Isla wind power project covers multiple cities and towns in Laguna Province, Philippines. ACEN aims to provide commercial energy to the grid by 2025, creating approximately 1,540 new jobs in the Philippines and contributing to economic recovery.

ACEN hopes to become the largest renewable energy platform in Southeast Asia and has set its renewable energy installed capacity target at 20 GW. The Bank of England’s support is seen as an important driver of the success of renewable energy projects.
