Uber plans to introduce Tesla’s electric vehicles in Japan to enter the ride-sharing market, which will open in April next year. The first batch will be 30 Model Ys, with plans to increase to 100 next year.

The move comes as Japan will start opening ride-sharing services in some regions in April next year. Uber plans to offer ride-sharing services at a price that is about 20% higher than the cost of a local taxi.
