Samsung Wallet has added mobile driver’s license and state identification card functions, first launched in Arizona, USA. Users can store and manage digital ID cards on their mobile phones for convenient and safe use, avoiding the risk of carrying physical cards.

This feature protects user information with encryption via fingerprint or PIN authentication. To add an ID card, just open the app, select “Digital ID Card”, and complete the verification process by scanning the ID card and face. Samsung plans to expand functionality in the future to include age verification, entry to age-restricted venues, and car rentals.

Arizona is the first region to experience this feature, and Samsung promises it will be rolled out to more states in the future.
