Philippine entrepreneurship center Go Negosyo has partnered with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) to help local farmers expand their operations by signing formal agreements. The partnership aims to organize cooperatives to assist larger companies in integrating products, meeting market needs, obtaining credit and training.

The collaboration supports and implements the Kapatid Angat Lahat Agricultural Program (Kalap) goal of integrating smallholder farmers into the value chain of large agricultural companies.

Go Negosyo founder Concepcion said that only by solving problems in the agricultural sector can we promote the solution of poverty. CDA Chairman Nkabo said the establishment of the team is timely to strengthen the cooperative and kick-start the integration process of farmer groups.

This program is expected to inject resources into agricultural cooperatives, revitalize the agricultural sector, increase productivity, create jobs and stimulate economic activity.
