Western Digital launches new high-performance mobile gaming drives

Western Digital launches WD_BLACK SN770M NVMe SSD, specially designed for handheld gaming PCs, available in 1TB and 2TB capacities, with a 5-year limited warranty.

Gartner predicts that the handheld game console market is expected to grow to 14.8 million units by 2027. This hard drive uses the M.2 2230 size to expand internal storage to meet the increasing size needs of games. The hard drive uses PCIe Gen 4.0, Microsoft DirectStorage support and nCache™ 4.0 technology to provide a high-performance gaming experience and is suitable for handheld devices such as ASUS™ ROG Ally™, with a maximum speed of 5150 MB/s. ​

AMD and ASUS representatives praised the partnership for the new drive, which is priced at $239.00 for 1TB and $439.00 for 2TB in Australia. Already available at local retailers.
