Samsung CEO Han Jong-hee revealed at CES that the company is considering a larger acquisition plan to strengthen its market leadership.

Despite the difficulties, Samsung has invested in about 260 venture capital companies in three years, including artificial intelligence, digital health, financial technology, robotics and electronics.

Han Jong-hee said the company hopes to implement a larger acquisition plan this year to strengthen existing business and discover future growth engines. Samsung completed some smaller acquisitions last year, such as eMagin and Roon, and larger and important acquisitions may be made in 2024. The business environment is expected to continue to be difficult.

Mechatronics company Rainbow Robotics has been rumored as a potential acquisition target.
