The Republic of Korea has partnered with the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) to promote the “Building an Agriculture-based Central Data Ecosystem” (AbCDE) grant project to strengthen agricultural and fishery policymaking.

The program leverages South Korea’s strengths in agricultural informatization by strengthening, integrating, and improving the Ministry of Agriculture’s centralized data system. The representative of the Republic of Korea inspected the information technology data center of the PFDA Central Office and looked forward to digital agriculture cooperation with the Philippines.

In addition, the South Korean government has provided smart greenhouse facilities to farmers in the region through the DA-Western Visayas office, marking an important milestone in agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
