Fast Retailing, the parent company of Uniqlo, filed a lawsuit against Shein in Japan, accusing it of copying Uniqlo’s best-selling round mini shoulder bag. Fast Retailing requires Shein to stop selling counterfeit products and compensate for losses.

The bag sells for about 1,500 yen ($10) and is very popular. Uniqlo warns consumers to beware of counterfeit products sold online.

Previously, Fast Retailing and rival H&M jointly sued Shein for copyright infringement in Hong Kong, aiming to deal with the threat from this Chinese competitor.

Shein, which is based in Singapore, has not responded to requests for comment. Fast Retailing said in a statement that Shein’s imitation products have seriously damaged customers’ confidence in its brand and product quality.
