By 2030, the U.S. government plans to install 500,000 charging facilities for electric vehicles

In a press release, the Biden administration announced that it would invest $150 million to improve the reliability of EV chargers across the country. 24 grant recipients in 20 U.S. states will “make existing electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure more reliable.” The grant will be used to “repair or replace nearly 4,500 existing EV charging ports.” The grant is part of a government plan to put 500,000 EV chargers into service by 2030.
