Yamaha launches first open-back earbuds

Yamaha has launched the TW-EF3A wireless earbuds, which feature an open design that does not require full insertion into the ear and retains awareness of the surrounding environment.

Each earphone is equipped with 13mm drivers, titanium coating, emphasizing low-frequency performance. It supports multi-point Bluetooth connection, and the pole part integrates a microphone and physical buttons for volume adjustment, pause/play and switching audio modes.

The earphones can last for 10 hours on a single charge, and the charging case provides an additional 16 hours. It has an IPX4 waterproof and sweatproof rating and supports game mode to reduce audio and video delays.

The new feature “Clear Voice” is designed to improve dialogue and vocal clarity. TW-EF3A is priced at AU$99 and will be available in black, pink, gray and green from February 2024.
