Tesla CEO Elon Musk plans to buy AMD’s chips, joining its more than $500 million purchase of AI chips.

Previously, he revealed that Tesla plans to invest more than $1 billion by the end of 2024 in the Dojo supercomputer program, which will process large amounts of data, including the development of self-driving software.

While Nvidia dominates the AI accelerator market, AMD’s MI300 AI chip, released last year, claims to outperform its competitors in the speed of executing AI software.

In addition, Musk clarified that his AI startup xAI has not been in fundraising talks, denying discussing up to $6 billion in new funding plans with investors. According to the report, xAI is seeking global investor support.
