Cebu Pacific puts flight plans to Saudi Arabia and China on hold

Cebu Pacific is focusing its international expansion this year on East and Southeast Asia, shelving plans to fly to Saudi Arabia and reopening to Beijing due to supply issues.

Alexander Law, president of Cebu Pacific, said flights to Beijing have been postponed to the fourth quarter of this year as demand from China has not rebounded significantly. For Saudi Arabia, the airline considered launching routes last year, but plans were delayed as its fleet was affected by supply disruptions.

Despite fleet damage, Cebu Pacific will reallocate wide-body aircraft to routes such as Bangkok, Hong Kong and Tokyo, possibly adding flights to Da Nang, Vietnam.
