Apple plans to launch a foldable device from 2026 to 2027, with an internal screen expected to be 7 or 8 inches, which may become an iPad Mini replacement.
Apple is developing a new generation of iPad Mini OLED screens and plans to introduce OLED screens in this year’s iPad Pro series. Samsung and LG Display have provided foldable screen samples to Apple in 6-inch and 7-inch sizes.
It is unclear whether Apple will confirm the launch date, but it may place an order with Samsung first. Taking into account Apple’s supplier strategy, LG Display may start mass production in a year.
There are also rumors that Apple may launch a 20.25-inch foldable product in 2028, named iPad or Mac.
