T7 Global Group has named its newest mobile offshore production unit “TSEVEN SHIRLEY” and plans to lease it to Valeura Energy to operate in the Nong Yao oil field in the Southern Gulf of Thailand. The group was awarded a RM400 million lease, operation and maintenance contract in September 2022.

The Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU) has sailed to the Nong Yao field, marking an important milestone for T7 Global Group in Thai waters. CEO Tan Kai Jun said that the construction of MOPU has been completed and the five-year lease will be launched this year, with revenue equivalent to a 10-year lease in Malaysian waters, which will help ensure the group’s long-term stable income.

The company will focus on expanding its offshore energy assets as a growth driver in the coming years.
