The EU hopes to promote competition among energy-saving devices through energy labels. In order to provide consumers with sufficient transparency when making purchasing decisions based on technological innovations, the EU regularly develops labels. Premium categories for almost all large appliances will be scrapped in 2021 as part of the last major overhaul. At the same time, it is clear that energy efficiency will be gradually adjusted to enhance equipment repairability. The new regulations will apply to some product categories from March 1, 2024.

From now on, washing machines, washer-dryers, dishwashers and refrigerators and freezers with energy efficiency class F may no longer be placed on the EU market. For these devices, this class is omitted entirely. Devices already on the market may still be available for sale. As of March 1, 2021, energy efficiency class G of the above-mentioned devices has been affected by a ban on the placing on the market. In addition, from 2021 there are specific requirements on the availability and supply of certain spare parts, delivery and the ability to repair using standard tools.

According to GfK, between January and November 2023, almost all washing machines sold in Germany were in categories A to E (97%), while 9% and 45% of dishwashers and refrigerators sold in the same period were in categories A to E. Class E washing machine. Class F equipment. In contrast, the share of sales of Class A to C equipment will steadily increase in 2023 compared with the same period last year: dishwashers will increase from 16% in 2022 to 25%, and refrigerators will increase from 11% in 2022. increased to 17%. By 2022, this number will reach 20%. So, the trend is moving in the right direction. 发送反馈 侧边栏 历史记录 已保存 提供建议
