The Selangor State Assembly was told that digital transformation will be accelerated through 5G coverage and is expected to create 750,000 jobs in the state by 2030.
Dr Mohammad Fahmi Ngah said this transformation would also boost Selangor’s GDP by about RM150 billion in 2030. He highlighted the key role of 5G networks in realizing the vision of projects in Kuala Langat and Sabai Annan development areas, including Sepang NCT Smart Industrial Park, Sepang Gold Coast, etc.
As of December 31, 2023, the 5G coverage rate in densely populated areas of Selangor has reached 95.9%.
