The joint venture between Sony and Honda plans to launch three electric vehicles by 2030 to compete with Tesla in the U.S. market. These include sedans, SUVs and compact cars.
Sony Honda Mobility will launch the Afeela brand sedan and plans to strengthen its development structure while expanding its product line. The three models will share the same chassis to keep costs down.
As competition in the electric vehicle market intensifies, Sony and Honda hope to drive the success of the Afeela brand by offering affordable added value.
