The United States is committed to becoming the “economic partner of choice” in the Indo-Pacific region

U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo led a presidential trade delegation to the Philippines on Monday, aiming to strengthen economic ties and support the U.S. Indo-Pacific strategy.

She viewed the Philippines as an investment hub and then traveled to Thailand to attend a meeting of the Presidential Export Council. Raimondo said that the United States hopes to become the preferred economic partner in the Indo-Pacific region and emphasizes long-term cooperation. The delegation consists of 22 company executives, including Google, Microsoft, etc.

Raimondo looks forward to announcing new U.S. investments in the Philippines and will focus on manufacturing, supply chains, artificial intelligence and clean technology in Thailand.
