Dutch startup Eye Security has raised €36 million to protect European businesses from cybercriminals.

Headquartered in The Hague, the company was founded in 2020 by Dutch intelligence and security experts and provides cyber protection, incident response and cyber insurance services to small and medium-sized enterprises. The round was led by JPMorgan Chase, bringing its total raised to €57.5 million.

Eye Security plans to use the funds to consolidate operations in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium and expand into other European countries. Companies focus on protecting small and medium-sized businesses since they account for approximately 50% of all cybersecurity attacks, but often do not have the budget for in-house cybersecurity teams.
