MG returns to Malaysia with two electric vehicles

SAIC Motor Malaysia Sdn Bhd has just reintroduced Morris Garages (MG) into the Malaysian market, which also coincides with the brand’s 100th anniversary. From the MG Rover era to the present, MG has undergone earth-shaking changes. Under the management of China’s SAIC Motor, MG found a new lease of life and became profitable.

Now MG is back as an electric car manufacturer, launching two electric models: MG4 and MG ZS EV, priced at around RM160,000. The MG4 is available in four specifications, with prices ranging from RM104,000 to RM159,000, battery capacity from 51kWh to 77kWh, and cruising range from 350km to 520km.

The MG ZS EV is expected to be priced at RM129,000, equipped with a 51.1kWh battery, with a cruising range of 320km, a maximum output of 130kW (176PS), a torque of 280Nm, and can accelerate from zero to 100km/h in 8.0 seconds.

The MG Pilot suite includes a range of advanced driver assistance and safety systems, all models come with a comprehensive warranty and can be connected remotely via the iSmart mobile app.
