Joachim Bergstrom, Swedish Ambassador to Malaysia, said Sweden intends to cooperate with Malaysia to promote the sustainable development agenda. Enterprises from both countries are cooperating, focusing on areas such as green production, transportation, and energy transformation.

Sweden’s Trade Commissioner to Malaysia Emma Broms added that by “opening up possibilities” through collaborative platforms, Swedish companies such as Volvo Trucks and Atlas Copco are promoting Malaysia’s transition to green energy. More than 80 Swedish companies operate in Malaysia with nearly 9,000 employees.

There is huge potential for trade relations between the two countries, and cooperation in digitalization and healthcare is also growing.
