Samsung Electronics conducted labor negotiations with the intervention of the Central Labor Committee, but sources revealed that the negotiations broke down. The union plans to hold a strike vote on the 18th, which may be the first strike since the company was founded.

The union demanded a wage increase of 8.1%, but management was only willing to raise it by 2.5%. If consensus is not reached, a legal strike will take place, although no strike has been held before, although collective bargaining has failed.
