Samsung announced that the “Mach-1” artificial intelligence chip will be released in early 2025 and is expected to compete with NVIDIA’s “B200”. The new chip will go into production by the end of this year and is targeted at low-power edge applications.

Mach-1 is designed to solve the bottleneck problem of data transfer between GPU and RAM in existing AI accelerators and handle artificial intelligence inference workloads. The long-term goal is to create entirely new semiconductors needed for general artificial intelligence, supporting larger models.

Additionally, other Korean startups are catching up to NVIDIA.
