7-Eleven International completes A$1.71 billion acquisition

7-Eleven International successfully completed the acquisition of 7-Eleven convenience stores in Australia for A$1.71 billion. Following this acquisition, 7-Eleven International’s portfolio includes more than 750 Australian stores.

President and CEO Ken Wakabayashi said the merger will enhance synergies and jointly enhance customer experience. 7-Eleven International is a joint venture between 7-Eleven, Inc. and 7-Eleven Japan, Co. Ltd., held by the holding company Seven & i Holdings Co., Ltd.

Globally, the 7-Eleven trademark is sold in more than 84,000 stores. The transaction further lays the foundation for driving global growth and enhancing brand quality.
