The World Bank has approved a US$750 million (RM3.54 billion) loan to Colombia to support its efforts to combat climate change.

This will help Colombia develop renewable energy, reduce carbon emissions, promote the development of solar energy, offshore wind energy and green hydrogen, and strengthen urban electric transportation and intermodal transport.

This is the second loan provided by the World Bank to Colombia, following a US$1 billion provided in December last year, aimed at promoting the transformation of its economy towards a more resilient economy, achieving low carbon emissions and sustainably managing natural resources.
