According to 36Kr, Qualcomm has cooperated with Toyota, FAW Hongqi and other companies to promote its Snapdragon Ride self-driving chip project. Mass production is expected by the end of this year, but global automakers such as Toyota may not be able to adopt it until the end of 2025.

Nvidia dominates the high-end market, while Chinese companies compete fiercely in the mid- and low-end markets. Qualcomm’s Ride chips are positioned in the mid-range market, adopt a different business model from Nvidia, and may provide more competitive prices. As demand grows, Qualcomm is expected to become a major supplier in the autonomous driving chip market.
