According to reports, Apple has postponed its plan to launch the foldable iPhone from the fourth quarter of 2026 to the first quarter of 2027. This means the release of the foldable iPhone could coincide with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold9.

Despite Apple’s concerns about technical stability, the supply chain is ready and screen suppliers are still providing support for foldable iPhones.

There are reports that Apple is considering two designs, one similar to the Galaxy Z Fold and the other similar to the Galaxy Z Flip series. Apple has not yet confirmed a launch date, but is still actively researching the technology.
