China and Russia push Thai condo sales to pre-pandemic levels

According to the Real Estate Information Center, sales of condominiums in Thailand reached 14,449 units last year, worth 73.2 billion baht.

Chinese buyers purchased 6,614 apartments for 34.1 billion baht, accounting for 46% of total sales. Russian buyers ranked second with 1,260 units. Apartments in Chonburi accounted for 41% of sales, and Bangkok accounted for 38%. Visa exemptions and geopolitical conflicts are driving demand.

The number of tourists to Thailand is expected to reach 35-40 million this year, including 8.2 million tourists from China.
