Toyota is integrating systems developed by Huawei and Momenta into global vehicles to improve safety and automation. Huawei provides the hardware, Momenta provides the software, and Toyota retains control of the user experience.
The move is aimed at improving driver assistance technology and bringing Toyota’s product line to a higher level of autonomous driving. This cooperation will be officially announced at the upcoming Beijing Auto Show.
Toyota has been working with Momenta for some time and is one of its major investors. This will help Toyota expand its footprint in the Chinese market and is especially important for improving its competitiveness in the electric vehicle market.
