China’s international export market share last year was 14.2%, ranking first in goods trade for seven consecutive years. Global trade data showed that global exports of goods fell for the first time, totaling $23.8 trillion, down 4.6%.

China’s exports reached US$3.38 trillion, maintaining the first place in the world, and its imports reached US$2.56 trillion, maintaining the second place in the world. The Ministry of Commerce stated that the stable market share demonstrates China’s ability to integrate and innovate the supply chain.

This year, global trade is expected to grow by 2.6%, but uncertainties caused by geopolitical conflicts and protectionism remain. In order to respond to external challenges, the Ministry of Commerce of China is studying a series of policy measures.
