The Indonesian government, through the Ministry of Industry, announced an electronic product import control policy aimed at regulating the market and promoting the competitiveness of the country’s electronics industry.

The policy requires commercial actors to obtain import approvals and inspection reports. While traders can still import, they will need to comply with regulations, including submitting an application for technical consideration and a commercial license.

This policy is influenced by the development background of the domestic electronics industry and aims to create investment certainty and maintain a favorable business environment.
